As part of our BE THE CHURCH ... we have come up with four targets/priorities for 2012-13. Here they are ...

VIBRANT LEADERSHIP
- FBC will develop a clear and communicable process from integration to leadership development to empowerment.
PLAN:
A team of 3-4 members will develop a plan/process. Kind of the skeletal layout of which muscles and meat will be added to accordingly.
WHEN:
Have team together by end of February and they will lay out a six month agenda. Have implementation of the Big Picture by end of summer 2012. The actual events and specifics will follow that, or be put into place as the team progresses.
RELATIONAL INTENTIONALITY
- FBC will specifically target building inter-generational relationships, building bonds between worshippers from both services, implement a specific process to connect new members, and calendar specific opportunities to allow for deepening relationships.
PLAN:
There will be one specific event quarterly to provide opportunity to build bridges above and beyond the normal opportunities we presently have in place.
WHO:
Church Council will be responsible for the calendaring and coordinating these events starting the second quarter of 2012.
Examples: Men’s day breakfast, Quarterly SS departmental class, cross-over worshipping, big-brother & big-sister, dinner clubs, secret pals, etc.
COMMUNITY: CONNECTING PEOPLE
- FBC will build a deeper passion for those in our community as we seek to develop connections with our neighbors and seek to share the message of hope. Thus we will seek to connect people to God into a loving and nurturing relationship.
- Where last week, intentional relationships, was more church family focus, this will seek to be the church outside our walls.
PLAN:
The Evangelism/Outreach Committee will plan and coordinate four events or emphasis per year to meet this target.
Examples: Community service projects, neighborhood cookouts, prayer walks, visitation Saturdays, Fall Festival, Christmas Village, etc.
PRAYERFUL DEPENDENCE
-One of our strongest categories (by the survey) though we do need to bolster and make a stronger presence of the importance of prayer.
-This category is foundational to all the others.
PLAN:
- Put into place a phone tree prayer chain. This will compliment the e-mail/internet prayer ministry.
- Do two visual prayer emphasis a year, trying to keep prayer at the front throughout the year.
WHO:
- Pastor will recruit and equip the phone tree coordinator.
- Men’s Ministry will implement the visuals as directed by Church Council or pastor.
WHEN:
To begin immediately.
